Shirley Jackson (Vocals & Tenor Saxophone) - Toronto Maple Blues Award recipient - Horn Player of the Year (2003). Shirley has been a featured performer on the blues scene throughout Canada and the United States since 1997. Settling in the Maritimes from Western Canada in 1988, Shirley Jackson has been honing her craft on stage with The Good Rockin’ Daddys as well as The Dutch Mason Blues Band, Joe Murphy & The Waterstreet Blues Band, A.J. & The Redhots, Theresa Malenfant, Frank Mackay & The Lincolns, Glamour Puss Blues Band, The Twisters, and the annual “Ladies in Blue” concert in Halifax.

Dawn Hatfield (Baritone Saxophone) – Ms. Hatfield is formerly of the Juno (1998) and East Coast Music Award (1997) winning band The Johnny Favorite Swing Orchestra. She has worked the music scene in the Maritimes for the past seventeen years with Frank Mackay & The Lincolns, Paul Cram’s ‘Upstream Orchestra’ and ‘Grrrilla Orchestra’, Halifax Sax Quartet, and Halifax rock band BFN. Hatfield has, in addition, performed on over a dozen nationally released recordings.

Rob MacIntosh (Tenor Saxophone) – MacIntosh has been playing professionally for the past fifteen years with Shirley Jackson, The Mike Ritcey Band, Joe Murphy & The Waterstreet Blues Band and The Red Rooster Band. He has also performed on international recordings with Ron Sherman & Tom Lipkin & Colours (Florida, U.S.A.). MacIntosh is a master of the gritty growls and soulful sounds of the tenor saxophone.

Dave Harrison (Trumpet & Flugelhorn
) - Harrison plays trumpet and flugelhorn with Moments Notice Jazz Quintet, Shirley Jackson & Her Good Rockin' Daddys and the Chebucto Big Band, all based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He also plays bass with 3 Car Garage, a rock trio based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He is previously a member of the Jazz East Board of Directors (Atlantic Jazz Festival), Time Squared (jazz-fusion), Royce Williamson Big Band and Peterborough Symphony Orchestra. He was a finalist, with Tony Murphy, in the 1993 CBC Song Writers contest.

Brad Conrad (Guitar) - Conrad has spent many years on the road touring with the Johnny Favorite Swing Orchestra, Matt Mays & El Torpedo, as well as performing with some of the most talented musicians who come through the Maritimes. He is a member of the legendary house band of the Sunday Night Jam at Bearly’s House of Blues in Halifax. A weekly Blues Jam that has been running for over seven years now. Conrad has acquired a reputation as a unique and innovative blues guitarist in the Maritimes.

Barry Cooke (Piano & Organ) – Cooke is a staple of the Halifax blues scene. He has played piano with Joe Murphy & the Water Street Blue Band for over ten years. Cooke has also shared the stage with Dutch Mason, Alberta Adams, Jumpin’ Johnny Sansone and Pine Top Perkins. He is also an original member of the Good Rockin’ Daddys. When it comes to knowing the blues, Barry fills the shoes.

Gary Potts (Drums) - has been a professional drummer in Halifax for over twenty years. Potts also performs regularly with Joe Murphy & the Water Blues Band, Hu Noo, the Mark Green Blues Band, Andrew Gillis and the Sho’ Nuffs, and The Blue Cheese Quartet. He has also played with Louisiana legendary Jumpin’ Johnny Sansone and west coast blues master Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne. Potts is the shuffle drummer who supplies the powerful backbeat and backbone to the blues scene in Halifax.

Jef James Wirchenko (Bass) – Wirchenko began his professional career as a musician when he was 16 years old, with singer/songwriter Shirley Jackson. He has had the opportunity to share the stage with some of the best blues musicians in the Maritimes including; Dutch Mason, Rick Jeffery, Joe Murphy, Garret Mason, Mark Green, and Brad Conrad. Wirchenko is active in the Halifax Music scene, playing in ensembles of varied styles.
