FESTIVAL TENT BOX OFFICE

  • IN PERSON: From July 10-18 visit us at the corner of Spring Garden Road and Queen St.
    Hours of operation are 12:00PM to 5:00PM and 6:00PM to 10:30PM.  Tickets may be purchased by VISA, MasterCard, debit and cash.  No cheques, please.
  • AT THE DOOR: All venues are able to sell tickets at the door, if they are available. Tickets may be purchased by VISA, MasterCard, debit and cash.  No cheques, please.

MEMBER'S BOX OFFICE

Open until July 10th, when the Festival Tent Box Office opens. Members receive special attention and assistance with their festival experience

  • IN PERSON: Visit JazzEast office at 1313 Hollis Street, 2nd floor, side door, Halifax
    Hours of operation are 10 AM – 7 PM.  Tickets may be purchased by VISA, MasterCard, debit, cash and cheque
  • BY PHONE: Call JazzEast at 902-492-2225 | Hours of operation are 10:00AM – 7:00PM.  Tickets may be purchased by VISA, MasterCard, debit and cash.  A mailing fee of $1 will be charged.  There is no charge for pick-up at the box office.

  • ON-LINE: JazzEast does not have an on-line purchasing option

* All member prices are $5 off the regular price.
* You may purchase tickets for non-members through JazzEast at the regular price.
* The Member Box Office is operated by the JazzEast staff, which is a small number of people. If we cannot answer the phone immediately, leave a message and we will call you back.

With the exception of the All Events Pass, tickets for Friday July 10th Opening Night Concert - Kenny Garrett Presents must be purchased separately.  Limited quantities are available for all passes.

The Festival Tent Pass $165
Traditionally the most popular jazz festival ticket. Take in eight concerts under the big top for less than $20 a show.

Jazz at the Baronet Ballroom Pass $145
Overlooking the beautiful star-lit Halifax harbor, Delta Halifax’s eighth floor concert room features some of the festival's biggest headliners in an intimate setting. For less than $25 a night you can see them all.

Two Day Pass $95
Take in two full days of festival concerts in unique venues and neighbourhoods across the city for as little as a single ticket price per day.

U-Pick 4-Pack 15% off regular ticket price
Improvise your own world class jazz festival adventure.  Chose any four concerts and receive 15% off the total amount.

JAZZLABS

Registration for JazzLabs works the same as purchasing a ticket.  At Ticketpro, the workshop titles begin with JazzLabs. .

DISCOUNTS

  • Seniors and students receive $3 off all regular priced concert tickets.
  • Groups receive $1 off for each set of 10 up to 30 people.  In other words, groups of 10 receive $1 off each ticket, groups of 20 receive $2 off each ticket and groups of 30 receive $3 off each ticket.
  • Members of JazzEast receive $5 off each regular priced ticket.

FREE CONCERTS
From 12:00PM – 5:00PM everyday concerts at the festival tent are all free. 

 

REFUNDS
All sales are final except if a concert is cancelled, then you will receive the price of your ticket back.  If your ticket was lost or stolen we will not refund your money.  If you have misplaced your ticket or forgot it at home we will not refund your money.  If you do not note that a concert is 19+ and purchase a ticket for a person under age that person’s ticket will not be refunded.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • General admission – All of the JazzFest concerts are general admission, which means that there are no assigned seats.  Seating is at a first come first seated basis.
  • 2009 Festival Program -The full schedule will be available for download as a .pdf on June 4 (look at the upper right-hand side of this website).  Printed copies of the full program will be available in mid-June.
  • All ages and 19+ concerts - It is your responsibility to note what concerts are all ages or 19+.
